Todd's Drug Store reflected the spirit of the 1909 Hudson-Fulton Celebration, when cities and towns along the Hudson River observed the achievements of Henry Hudson and Robert Fulton. In Hastings, the village's own parade, complete with a streetcar, came down Main Street and turned right onto Warburton at Todd's front door. Hanford Todd was both a druggist and an amateur photographer who photographed his village and sold postcards of Hastings scenes.
