Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Emil Bach House in Chicago’s Rogers Park for brick manufacturer Emil Bach in 1915, creating one of his late Prairie style works and one of the few surviving Wright houses on the city’s North Side. Set near Lake Michigan, the house was planned to be approached from the rear toward the lake, with strong horizontal lines, broad eaves, cantilevered roofs, and a layout centered on a fireplace. After alterations and losses over time, major restoration in the 2010s returned it close to its original appearance. It now serves public and event uses and is recognized as both a Chicago Landmark and a National Register property.
