Meeting in the home of Dr. and Mrs. J.L. Lanterman, a Statement of Faith was drawn and signed, and fifteen charter members became the first organized church in La Canada on May 23, 1897. Its minister was Rev. Franklin Culver from 1897 to 1898. The church was rebuilt in 1924 and rebuilt again in 1974.
