Near here stood the three buildings of Blue Springs Lutheran Congregation. The first was constructed of logs. The second, a brick structure built before the Civil War, was used by General Ambrose E. Burnside for a hospital following the Battle of Blue Springs in 1863. The last, a frame building, was erected by the Rev. F.M. Harr in 1893 and was still standing in 1971.
