The citizens of Brookside erected this memorial in honor of those who served and dedicated it to the memory of those who gave their lives in World War II: H. Earl Barnhouse Jr., John Francis Ebert, Alexander Kouski, Fred Kouski, Robert Kirk Porterfield, and William D. Waters. It closes with a prayer that the spirit of peace will enter the hearts and minds of men throughout the world.
