Pleasant Hill School
Education
Pleasant Hill Consolidated School opened in 1938 as an elementary and high school and also included a cannery and a home economics/farm-shop building. From 1970 to 1985, Pleasant Hill housed a middle and high school, and it closed in 2000 as Pleasant Hill Middle School. An excellent example of New Deal-era school architecture, it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
