This sacred space honors the men and women of the Van Horn Parents Association and all the coaches, players, volunteers, and friends whose dedicated contributions to youth sports made a positive impact on the lives of children and families of Hungry Hill in the City of Springfield from the 1950's to 1980's. It also honors the people associated with the sports teams of Our Lady of Hope Church, the Acorns, Blackstones, Celtics, and American Legion Post 430, which existed from the 1920's to the 1980's before and during the years of the Van Horn Parents Association.
