Willamette Pass Resort
Nature
Willamette Pass Resort is a ski area in Oregon’s Cascade Range at Willamette Pass between Oakridge and La Pine on Highway 58, operating on federal land in the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests. Founded in 1941 and locally owned by the Wiper family since 1982, it grew with the installation of its first chairlift and later entered a joint venture with Mountain Capital Partners. Known for the extremely steep RTS run, it also hosted the 1993 Subaru U.S. Speed Skiing Championships. With 555 skiable acres, 29 trails, Nordic routes, six lifts, and heavy annual snowfall, it serves both expert skiers and beginners.
