World's Wonder View Tower in Genoa, Colorado, began in the mid-1920s as a roadside attraction built by showman C.W. Gregory and his partner Myrtle Le Bow. Standing 65 feet above the plains, it was advertised as a vantage point from which six states could be seen, and in 1934 its site was confirmed as the highest point between New York and Denver. The tower also became a museum filled with curiosities, including unusual animal specimens, more than 50,000 types of glass bottles, artifacts and weapons from the American West, Native American artifacts, and fossils. After closing following its owner's death, it reopened in 2026 after extensive renovation.
