In 1950, during the Boy Scouts of America's 40th Anniversary Crusade to Strengthen the Arm of Liberty, a replica of the Statue of Liberty was dedicated as a pledge of everlasting fidelity and loyalty, invoking the faith and courage of forefathers who made possible the freedom of these United States. It was dedicated on Nov. 11, 1950, constructed by William Dean, with rocks donated by the Rex Young Society of Rock Houds.
