Barbers Point Light is a lighthouse on Oahu at Barbers Point near Kalaeloa on the island’s southwestern tip, named for Captain Henry Barber and marking a prominent point on Hawaii’s coast. Its light station was established in 1888, and a second tower was built in 1933. The station was maintained by a succession of keepers, including William Hatton Aalona from its opening until 1907 and Samuel Apolo Amalu during two separate terms before 1941. Long important to coastal navigation, it remains a recognized historic site and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2024.
