From 1941 to 1945, Butler Countians served their country in the cause of freedom during World War II. Dedicated to the glory of God and in grateful memory of all those who served, it especially honors those who made the Supreme Sacrifice, naming the county's dead by year from 1942 through 1945 and identifying their branches of service in the Marines, Air Corps, Navy, Army, and Airborne.
