The Clarinda Freedom Rock Veterans Memorial honors POW and MIA service through the themes of duty, honor, and sacrifice, and includes the words, "America means freedom and there's no expression of freedom quite so sincere as music." It also recognizes Major Glenn Miller and 1Lt Vernon Baker, a Medal of Honor recipient associated with World War II and Korea.
