Stuart Well
History
The hand dug water well is believed to date to the Stuart occupancy, which began about 1825 and ended in 1859. The rock lined well, which still contains water, is about twenty feet deep. A 1935 Richmond Times article about the Stuart farm called it the best water in the country. In later years, the well was used by the Mitchell and the Dellenback families.
