People from the Dwight Area who died while serving their country are honored in memory, including Albert Tunberg in the Army during World War I; Harald Christopher, Marion Asa, Scott Monday, Joseph Canale, Marshall Bush, and Gerhardt Kjolhede in the Navy during World War II; Thomas Wiemken and Glen Alfter in the Marine and Army during World War II; Donald Sodini in the Air Corp during World War II; Maurice Christensen, Ralph Fieldman, Ray W. Chapple, George E. Miller, Louis Romanetto, Cyril Rieck, Howard Meier, S. William Zappa, Herbert Kutz, Kenneth Stahl, and others in the Army during World War II; Milton R. Grieff and Robert H. Thompson in the Army during Korea; Jon R. Brumbach in the Air Force during Vietnam; David Jacobsgaard and Raymond J. Holshouser in the Marine during Vietnam and OIF; and Robert E. Jacobsgaard in the Army during Vietnam. They are remembered forever, along with all Dwight Area veterans who served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
