Three Elms, the home of Henry H. Rassweiler, the second president of North Central College, stood on the corner of South Brainard Street and Van Buren Avenue until 1971. Rassweiler was a graduate of the Class of 1868 and served North Central College as a teacher and administrator for 20 years. He was also the first president of the North Central College Alumni Association.
