Allen Smelley of Company G, 38 Infantry, was killed in action on July 15, 1918, in the Champagne-Marne Defensive. Arthur G. Padgett, in Recruit Group 1151, Company K, 144 Infantry, died on December 1, 1917, at Fort Worth, Texas.
