Completed in 1959, Beth Sholom Synagogue is one of the greatest achievements of Frank Lloyd Wright, who worked with Rabbi Mortimer J. Cohen to create "A new thing — the American spirit wedded to the ancient spirit of Israel." The site has national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America.
