The Mobridge Bridge was dedicated to the people of South Dakota on November 12, 1924. It was built under the direction of the State Highway Commission, with Governor W.H. McMaster as chairman. The project was made possible by loans to the State of South Dakota from Brown County, Campbell County, Corson County, Dewey County, Walworth County, and the City of Mobridge. The bridge was constructed by the Minneapolis Bridge Company and designed and supervised by J.E. Kirkham, State Bridge Engineer.
