The Arbogast Bridge is considered the east end of Union Lake. The wetlands surrounding the bridge are significant habitat to many types of birds and waterfowl, including swans, sandhill cranes, loons, cormorants, heron, egrets, geese, and ducks. Eagles and osprey are often seen over the lake.
