Richville Welsh Congregational Church was established in 1858, and its building was erected in 1859. The first Welsh settlers migrated to Richville beginning in 1849, with additional families arriving in 1852, 1854, 1856, 1865, and later. Pastors who served the church were Rev. Thomas Rees from 1858 to 1864, Rev. David Jones from 1865 to 1886, Rev. George M. Rees from 1887 to 1889, Rev. Thomas T. Davies from 1888 to 1893, Rev. John Rosser Jones from 1894 to 1896, Rev. Richard M. Jones from 1896 to 1897, Rev. Lewis E. Lewis from 1897 to 1902, Rev. John Williams from 1902 to 1903, Rev. J.T. Griffiths from 1904 to 1908, Rev. David L. Williams from 1908 to 1915, and Rev. Griffith Evans from 1915 to 1919. The church was built in 1859 by Ebenezer Griffiths and renovated in 1925 by his grandson Webster E. Griffiths.
