Brent Creek Methodist Protestant Church was completed and dedicated in the fall of 1891 with sixteen members. Originally located slightly west of this site, the church was moved here in 1940. The Gothic-inspired wood frame building has undergone only minor changes since its relocation, including stained glass windows, interior paneling, and asbestos shingle siding. It has served the community continuously since its organization and became a United Methodist church in 1968.
