The Anson County Memorial Fountain honors Anson County soldiers who served in World War I to preserve the principles and ideals of American independence and to vouchsafe to succeeding generations the sublime truth and sacred trust of liberty, equality, and justice. It was erected by the Thomas Wade Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution to the memory of the fathers, the heroes of 1776, who made America possible.
