U.S. Navy Patrol and Reconnaissance Naval Aviators, Naval Flight Officers, and Aircrewmen who made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom are honored here, along with special recognition for Mr. John Christiansen for his many contributions to the development and testing of the P-3. The Lockheed P-3 Orion served in patrol, antisubmarine warfare, electronic warfare, and reconnaissance missions and carried sonobuoys, torpedoes, missiles, mines, and bombs. A P-3B, Bureau Number 152764, was manufactured in December 1966 and made its last flight in September 1994.
