Good Hope Presbyterian Church occupied its third site here. Since 1909, the new church built at Iva, S.C., has continued its work, and its pastors included Rev. John Simpson from 1790 to 1807, Rev. David Humphreys from 1821 to 1869, Rev. John S. Young for four years, Rev. R. Cater Ligon from 1877 to 1902, Rev. W.S. Hamiter from 1904 to 1910, Rev. M.E. Peabody from 1910 to 1914, Rev. J.R. McRee, D.D., from 1914 to 1922, Rev. M.A. DuRant from 1925 to 1929, Rev. Wm. S. Talmage from 1937 to 1941, Rev. D.M. Hill from 1945 to 1947, Rev. J. Frank Ligon, D.D., from 1947 to 1949, Rev. E.L. Belk from 1952 to 1954, and Rev. J.D. Simpson from 1954.
