The Karl A. Staley House in North Madison, Ohio, is a lakeside Frank Lloyd Wright residence designed in 1950 and built from 1951 to 1954. An example of Wright’s Usonian domestic architecture, it stands out among his Ohio houses for its stone construction rather than brick and for being built by its users. The I-plan design closely follows Wright’s original conception and uses local river stone from Mill Creek, tying the house to its setting on Lake Erie. Its main window wall faces the lake for expansive shoreline views. Recognized for its architectural importance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
