On May 30, 2016, a prayer at Grove City’s Honor Roll asked God to bless those gathered for the dedication of a new monument, hallow these memorials with deeds of love and service for God and country, inspire all who meet there to remain true to the ideals and comradeship of the American Legion, bless those whose work and sacrifice made the memorial possible, preserve the traditions of the American Legion, and make the monument a lasting memorial to service in war and loyalty and love in peace.
