Pandora – The World of Avatar is a twelve-acre themed area at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Bay Lake, Florida, conceived as a visit to Pandora long after Avatar's conflict, when humans and the Na'vi live at peace. Developed beginning in 2011 and opened in 2017, it was created to strengthen the park as a fuller day-and-night destination. Its immersive design centers on the Valley of Mo'ara's floating mountains, bioluminescent landscapes, and responsive alien flora, alongside attractions including Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey. Led creatively by Joe Rohde, the project emphasized conservation, environmental stewardship, and the illusion of a fully realized world.
