A replica of the James Thomas Johnson General Store stands for the original store that was located in the 600 block of Opdyke Street, at the present day location of the old Mount Vernon Township High School football field. The store was constructed in the latter half of the 19th century and operated until 1920. The general store features the barber shop. The building and contents were purchased from Tom Puckett.
