At the Battle of Sharon on July 10, 1781, members of the Tryon County Militia who died were Capt. Robert McKean, Pvt. Frederick Bellinger, Pvt. Adam Kittle, Pvt. John Caspar Lerhri, and Pvt. Ebenezer Momicle.
