Medford's Last Carriage Stone
Transportation
13
Originally installed in July, 1914 in front of the W.H. Miner home as part of the 146-foot sidewalk construction extending to the creamery, this carriage stone was used for putting one's foot on when descending from a wagon or carriage. Area citizens funded the $55.00 project through subscriptions, and in October, 1995 the stone was moved from 203 2nd St. N.W. to this site.
