Cape Vincent Breakwater Light
Transportation
Cape Vincent Breakwater Light was a lighthouse on the breakwater that sheltered the harbor at Cape Vincent, New York, serving the village waterfront as a harbor light. It was separate from nearby Tibbetts Point Light, the community’s better-known active lighthouse. Although it no longer stands on the breakwater or functions as a navigational aid, the structure survives after being moved to the Town Highway Department on New York State Route 12E. Its importance lies in its role in protecting and guiding local harbor traffic and in its continued presence as a relocated landmark tied to Cape Vincent’s waterfront history.
