Parker Homestead State Park was a one-acre former Montana state park near Three Forks in southeastern Jefferson County. It preserved a sod-roofed log cabin built in the early 1900s, valued not for its size or grandeur but as an example of the practical frontier homes that resembled many of the first dwellings built by settlers in Montana. The site's importance lay in representing everyday settlement life on the Montana frontier. It remained a state park until January 1, 2010, when the state park commission let its lease expire as a cost-saving measure, and the homestead returned to private ownership.
