Newton Clark Glacier is an alpine glacier on the southeast slope of Mount Hood in Oregon, entirely within the Mount Hood Wilderness. It extends from about 10,400 feet down to 6,500 feet and forms part of the mountain’s high-elevation ice and snowfields. Its modern history reflects significant change: between 1907 and 2004, the glacier lost 32 percent of its surface area, and its terminus retreated 310 metres, or about 1,020 feet.
