Barkhurst Mill Covered Bridge, also known as the Williams Covered Bridge, stands in Marion Township near Chesterhill, Ohio, as a surviving historic covered bridge from the era when such structures were a practical part of rural travel. Built in 1872, it is associated with builders Benjamin and John Pierpoint and was a work of John Shrake and E.W. Kirby. Its historical importance was formally recognized when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. By 2017, it stood at the end of a township road and appeared abandoned, reinforcing its character as a remnant of an earlier countryside transportation network.
