In grateful memory of those from this community who so faithfully served in the World War, the Mauch Chunk-East Mauch Chunk World War I Honor Roll records the names of local service members and identifies those who made the supreme sacrifice: Joseph L. Boyce, Charles J. Brander, John H. Dieckman, Charles J. Dolon, Walter J. Exner, Thomas Leonardis, Thomas McAndrews, Burton K. Muschlitz, Clyde W. Rothermel, Harry L. Ryan, and Michael A. Wimmer, who died in service.
