The Airlift Hall of Fame Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who contributed to airlift and to the success and freedom of the nation. Built through contributions and donated to the United States Air Force by the Airlift Association, it consists of three major sections. On the east end stands a piece of the Berlin Wall furnished by the Luftbruecke Chapter of the Airlift Association, along with a replica of the Berlin Airlift memorial featuring the Luftbruecke, or air bridge, signifying the sustaining airlift provided to Berlin. To the west is an airlift memorial honoring those who gave their lives conducting airlift missions for the country. The two memorials are connected by the Walkway of Fame, where significant contributors to airlift are inducted into the Hall of Fame annually by the Airlift Association and are represented by bronze busts on pillars lining the walkway. Their tenacity, dedication, and hard work paved the way for a free world.
