Fresno Technical School, constructed in 1895, was known as Fresno High School from 1895 to 1921. In 1910, it was established as the first junior college of California. In 1911, it served as a Normal School, a forerunner to Fresno State College. It was Fresno Technical High School from 1921 to 1948 and Fresno Junior College from 1948 to 1959.
