Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska, is a sprawling museum complex founded in 1953 by Harold Warp after he returned to his hometown and saved the one-room schoolhouse he had attended. Built on a 20-acre site with 28 historic buildings and more than 50,000 objects, it presents a highly personal vision of American material history and technological change from about 1830 to the present. Especially known for its collection of more than 350 automobiles, it also includes airplanes, tractors, household goods, art, and other Americana. The museum has remained under Warp family leadership and has long been an important attraction for Minden.
