For approximately 75 years, this site was a significant landmark that educated and developed the lives of thousands of individuals in the area. The families Lea and Browning donated the land in 1906, and Pride Consolidated School began in 1907 with 67 students. Those who attended regarded the land as sacred and remembered to "take Pride in Pride!"
