The monument honors those from Wolcott who served the country in time of war, declaring that they gave their today for our tomorrow. It recognizes service in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and Iraqi Freedom, and it was dedicated on Nov. 14, 1982, through the support of the Junior Womens Club of Wolcott, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1979, and American Legion Post 165.
