Williamsburg Mountain is the local name for a prominent bend in Tussey Mountain in central Pennsylvania’s Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians. It is not a separate federally recognized summit, but the high S-shaped sweep of the long ridge above Williamsburg, also called “The Loop” from the air. The ridge reaches about 2,350 feet above sea level and rises roughly 1,500 feet above Williamsburg and the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River. Pennsylvania Route 866 crosses the ridge near the summit, where an access road leads upward. The summit area includes a closed old lookout tower, communication towers, and land within Pennsylvania State Game Lands 118.
