The garage is one of the original structures on the site, built in 1919 while the house was still under construction. It typifies the ornate detail for which builders John and George Munro were known. Its framing lumber was rough sawn tamarack taken from the Purdys' land, and its interior was finished with plastered walls and tongue and groove beaded boards on the ceiling. The front has two sliding doors on an open track and a distinctive arbor supported by 7 round wooden columns. It stands on a poured foundation with a cement floor and approach, and its restoration was completed in 2010, returning it to its original design.
