The Litten Water Gardens at Edgebriar Park are named in appreciation of Frances Ann and Donald D. Litten. Frances Ann Litten, a nationally accredited flower show judge and president of the Round Hill Garden Club, enthusiastically promoted beautification efforts in Bridgewater. Donald D. Litten served the Town of Bridgewater for fifty years, from 1956 to 2006, most of these in the capacity of Town Attorney. During his tenure in office he drafted the first Green Law and was instrumental in efforts to beautify Main Street.
