Aline Covered Bridge
Science & Tech
Aline Covered Bridge, also called the Meiserville Covered Bridge, is a historic 1884 covered bridge in Perry Township near Meiserville, Pennsylvania. Its 60-foot Burr Truss span crosses the North Branch of Mahantango Creek and survives as an example of Pennsylvania’s covered-bridge tradition. Recognized for its significance with listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, it later shifted from active roadway to preserved landmark when a new bridge bypassed it in 1982. Left open only to pedestrians, it now has a park-like character, with a picnic table inside, and is valued as a preserved 19th-century rural crossing.
