One of the forty-nine Freedom cars sent by the French government in 1949, this box car went to New Hampshire through the Grand Voiture du N.H. of the Forty and Eight. The cars were distributed to each of the forty-eight states, with one shared by the District of Columbia and Hawaii. This car serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives in all wars and to Franco-American friendship.
