The Rock House was built by Thomas Ansley Sr. about 1785. Owners who are probably buried in the cemetery were Thomas Ansley Sr., born 1737 and died 1809, owner from 1782 to 1798; Rebecca Cox Ansley, born 1732 and died 1814; Abel Ansley Sr., born 1761 and died 1822, owner from 1798 to 1822; and Lydia Morris Ansley, born 1770 and died 1838, owner from 1822 to 1838.
