Bogachiel State Park is a 127-acre public recreation area on the Bogachiel River in Washington, about four miles south of Forks along Highway 101. Established in 1931, it developed first through the efforts of the Bogachiel Improvement Club and the Forks Chamber of Commerce before state staffing began in 1961. The small riverside park offers camping, picnicking, and hiking, and it remains valued as an accessible outdoor stop on the Olympic Peninsula. Its importance rests in its long service as a community-linked recreation area shaped by local initiative and its setting along the river.
