Spade Farm Covered Bridge in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, is a covered road bridge spanning a storm drainage ditch near State Route 7. Also called the Old Hollow Covered Bridge for its original site on Old Hollow Road in North Ferrisburgh, it is a Town lattice truss built by Justin Miller. Although a sign gives 1824, historians believe it was probably built about 1850. In 1958, when it faced demolition and replacement, farmer Sam Spade had it moved to his farm, preserving it. Still privately owned and reportedly in disrepair, it remains notable for period advertising painted on its truss members, recalling covered bridges as both crossings and public display spaces.
