The Strake-Gray Roughneck Bunkhouse, relocated from 11585 Duffey Lane in Conroe, Texas, on August 23, 2015, and placed near the Strake-Gray Oilfield House in the museum complex of the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, was donated by Clyde Thomas "Dolly" Gray's family, including Sarah Bess Gray Crow, Mary Emily Gray Garcia, and Arrel Thomas Gray, along with the Oilfield House. Employees of the Strake Oil Company used the bunkhouse in shifts, with one roughneck sleeping there at the end of his shift and the next group using it when they returned to the oilfield. Known in the family backyard as the "little house" or roughneck bunkhouse, it was later used by the Gray family to store Strake Wildcat and Conroe Wildcat baseball equipment. The building represents the era of the oil industry in Montgomery County during the early 1930s.
